At Scott's Custom Rods and supplies, we create each and every fishing rod to fit our customers exact needs. The style, size, grip and feel of every rod is made with the sole purpose of providing the highest level of fishing experience possible.

Individual Technical Specifications

• We match the rod blank to specific the fishing preference, line, and reel
• We custom match rod guides for each type of fishing
• We custom craft the reel seat to the reel and the angler, i.e.: hand size (for a comfortable grip.) Reel seat materials include a choice of urethane foam, aluminum, and wood.
• We custom match grip material to the angler’s specs. Available grip materials include:
  • Cork
  • EVA Foam
  • Urethane Foam with Composite Skins
  • Wood
  • Aluminum
  • All of our grips are machined to meet our customer’s exact needs
• We install abalone shell veneer inlaying on the reel seat, rod
  or even the grip

Tailored Individual Design

• We select thread colors and blank color to match angler’s preferences, boat colors, etc.
• We choose custom weaves created according to preference. Weaves may include:
  • Fish Species
  • Boat Names
  • Angler names
  • Personal Monogram, Family Tartan or Crest
  • Verses or Song Lyrics.
• Almost any image can be included in the design either through weaving or through the use of decals.
• Resin castings can be created to encase gemstones, mementos.
• Custom rods are created one rod at a time and are unique to the owner.

There’s something new in guide placement that is sure to become the standard with rod construction:
The Spiral Wrap

Although it may look unusual, it has a definite function and feel. A spiral wrapped rod combines the better of two worlds: the stability of a spinning rod and the function of a conventional reel.

Spiraling the guides to the underside of the rod allows the fisherman to take advantage of spinning rod stability while using a conventional reel. When you catch a fish on a spiral wrapped rod you will feel the difference.

Many west coast tuna fishermen use these type rods for their standup tuna fishing.

Simply put, the spiral wrapped rod performance is exemplary.
